Legacy Scholars Announced for 2018-2019

The Phillips University Legacy Foundation Board Scholarship Committee is pleased to announce the selection of the 2018-2019 Legacy Scholars. The new Scholars are:

Emma Crider will be a freshman at Texas Christian University. She will be majoring in Nursing and is from Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Hannah Emerson will be a freshman at Texas Christian University. She is from Longview, Texas, and her Pre-Major  is Interior Design.

Rebecca Foster will be a sophomore at Chapman University. Her hometown is Torrance, California, and she is majoring in Strategic and Corporate Communications.

Matthew Gillet will be a freshman at Lynchburg College. He is from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and plans to major in Political Science. Matthew's PU lineage spans through a few generations from his parents, Mark Gillett (1987) and Julia Jordan Gillett (1987 and 1991), to his grandmother, Kathryn Brown Jordan (1949) as well as both grandfathers, Emerson Gillett (1955) and the late Fred Jordan (1950 and 1954). Matthew also has two aunts and an uncle who attended the university. Matthew's cousin, Caitlin Jordan is a Legacy Scholar Alumna (TCU, 2014).

Elisha (Eli) Holder will be a freshman at Bethany College and is from Bartlesville, Oklahoma. His plans are to major in Pre-Law and Political Science. Eli's step-father, Robert (Rob) Crawford graduated from PU in 1998 with a B.A. in Relgion. Rob completed his graduate degrees with Phillips Theological Seminary: Master of Divinity in December, 2000, and his Doctor of Ministry in August, 2015.

William (Carter) Knake, will be a freshman at Bethany College, and is majoring in Business/Communications. Carter is from is from Havana, Illinois.

Allison McHugh will be a freshman at Texas Christian University. She is from Lawrenceburg, Kentucky and will be majoring in Psychology/Pre-Med. Her mother, Michelle (Micki) Gagnon McHugh, graduated from Phillips University in 1990.

Linnea O'Donnell will be entering Chapman University as a freshman. She'll major in TV Writing and Production/Business.
